On our walk over to the Sears Tower we came across a GIANT macaroni noodle.
Some of the gorgeous skyscrapers that we were surrounded by on our walk over.
After what seemed like 1,000 skyscrapers, we realized the Sears Tower was a lot further than we had hoped. Luckily Chicago is full of taxis so we just hopped into one and off we went. My son was very grateful for this. It was his first time in a taxi as well as mine. And according to him he was tired of walking. And let me just tell you, the cab drivers are just as crazy in real life as they appear to be in movies. I told Rob by the way he was driving on the home later that day, he could easily get a job as a taxi driver. =)
Once at the Sears Tower we purchased our tickets and up we went 103 stories high. The view out from the tower was unlike anything I have ever seen in my life. Ahhh-mazing! You could see for miles and miles. You could see a large portion of Lake Michigan and all of Chicago.
After the Sears Tower we headed back to Navy Pier, in another cab, and walked around a little bit more before heading home.
It was an incredible day and I am so blessed that I got to spend it with three amazing people.
