Rob and I have been to some pretty amazing places and have experienced some of the most beautiful scenic areas Michigan and Illinois have to offer. But Kickapoo State Park in Wisconsin tops the list.
Rob decided to take a dip in the Kickapoo River, from his expression you could tell it was a tad bit cold. :)Ready for our hike.

And here are my last few favorites of the day.
Kickapoo (I know the name is kind of lame) is one of the most breath taking, spectacular and mesmerizing places I have ever seen. The views of the valleys from up there are hard to describe in words. It has been said to be "unmatched". I completely agree with this statement. It's like nothing you've ever seen before. You have to experience it for yourself to see what I mean. We had to pay 7$ to get into the state park, but the views were worth a million. Nothing can compare to that.
Our road trip started out at 7:00 am when we left the house. We drove literally ALL day, close to 600 miles. And we didn't return home until after 8:00 pm. My son Tyler was off of school due to it being Columbus Day so he was able to go with us. When Tyler, Rob and I were driving around looking at all the amazing colors and just taking it all in I couldn't help but think how blessed I am. I have an incredible boyfriend who does more for me than anyone ever has. And who loves me more than I could ever imagine. Then there's Tyler. The most amazing, out going little boy ever. Who has brought so much joy to my life. I am beyond blessed.
When we were hiking down a mountain and back up again Rob held Tyler's hand the whole way. Watching the way Rob was taking care of Tyler and making sure he was safe made me fall in love with him all over again. I honestly couldn't ask for a better boyfriend or son. I am so lucky.
Here are my favorite photos from our day trip to Kickapoo, Wisconsin.
